The Stralis AD/AT range offers numerous configuration choices. The AD/AT is available as a Rigid or as a Prime Mover, sleeper or day cab, and in 6x4 or 8x4 axle configuration. The versatility of the Stralis can be seen in:

  • engine power ratings of 450 or 500hp  * torque ratings of up to 1696lb/ft  *  five wheelbase options  *   five rear axle ratio options
  • The Stralis is one of the most versatile trucks in the Iveco product offering. Several models are assembled at Iveco's Dandenong, Victoria facility using up to 55% of Australian-sourced components. The Stralis is known for its fuel efficiency, extreme comfort and the ability to stand up to the rigours of demanding Australian and New Zealand conditions, ranging from urban distribution to line haul.

In 2015 Iveco introduced an enhanced Cursor Series II engine to the top-of-the-line AS-L model, providing all the benefits of the previous Cursor engine, coupled with even greater reliability and engine life.  The new engine is backed by market-leading extended warranty packages of three, four and five years.

With a Gross Combination Mass (GCM) ranging from 36 to 90 tonnes, the Stralis has been designed to be used in a wide range of applications including:

  • Single trailer prime mover.  * B-Train applications  *  Curtainside rigid.  *  Tanker.  *  Tipper.   Livestock.  *  50MAX rigid or prime mover.
  • The standard transmission fitted to all Stralis models is the ZF Eurotronic II automated gearbox, available in either 12 or 16-speed configuration. The transmission delivers:optimum performance

  • advanced drivability  *    superior fuel economy  *  intelligent and adaptive controls allowing the driver to focus on the road  *  stress-free driving
  • Both transmission have an electronically-controlled clutch engagement. While driving in automated mode the Eurotronic transmission automatically selects the most ideal gearshift according to load, road speed, road incline, etc. However depending on road and traffic conditions at hand, if the driver wishes select the gear themselves, they simply pull up or down on the lever and the manual override mode engages.

The Stralis has three cab variations, all of which are certified to the stringent ECER29 crash standard:

Active Day (AD). Available in 6x4 and 8x4 prime mover and rigid chassis. For those vocations where tare weight and maximum body length are most important. The AD cab provides a comfortable and functional working environment along with exceptional visibility and driveability. Ease of entry and exit make this cabin the optimum choice for short haul distribution.

Active Time (AT).  Sleeper cab available in prime mover and rigid 6x4 and 8x4. The AT cab is available with either standard or high roof heights offering a spacious working environment with extra storage space along with other driver comforts such as an insulated cool box, and a 2m long sleeper bunk.

Active Space Long (AS-L). The top of the line cab fitted to prime mover 6x4 chassis. The AS-L cab comes with all the features of the other Stralis cabs but with extra width and length it delivers the added space suited to long haul vocations. Full cab air suspension and extra sound insulation deliver exceptional ride comfort and silence.

No matter what Stralis cab is fitted to your new Iveco there are many features common to all models, including:

  • ISRI multi adjustable air suspended driver’s seat.
  • Fully adjustable steering column.
  • Multiple storage compartments, including accessibility from outside the cab. (on AT and AS cabs)
  • Climate air conditioning.
  • Radio/ CD sound system.
  • Multi function display screen displaying fuel consumption, trip monitoring and vehicle performance.
